Mythos[]

The Kitab Al-Azif first appeared in the story The Last Test (H.P. Lovecraft with Adolphe de Castro, 1927).

Kitab Al-Azif is the original Arabic title for Alhazred's Necronomicon. Al-Azif supposedly refers to the sounds made by insects at night, which the people of Alhazred's time took to be the calls of djinn.[1]
