Harold Walsted is the current curator of the museum, and a dear friend of Dr. Henry Armitage.
After the events of The Dunwich Horror, Dr. Armitage decided to give the Orne Library's copy of the Necronomicon to Walstead for safekeeping in the Restricted Hall of the museum.[1]
The Miskatonic Museum is an opulent and stately building, supported by expeditions funded by the university. Its sizable collection of exotic artifacts, curios, and art has drawn visitors from all over the country.[2]
